Whistleblowing Policy & Procedures and Anti Bribery

Sabah International Petroleum Sdn Bhd ("Company" or "SIP") is committed to the values of transparency, integrity, impartiality and accountability in the conduct of its business affairs and in its workplace.

One way to achieve these aspirations, SIP has put in place Whistleblowing Policy and Procedures (click the link here to access) to detect and deal with improper conduct, unethical behaviour, malpractices, illegal acts or criminal offence ("Wrongdoings") through information disclose by whilstleblowers.

Employees and others who have reasonable grounds and serious concerns about any aspect of Wrongdoings are encouraged to come forward and voice those concerns by completing the "Form of Report by Whistleblower of Wrongdoings" (attached herewith as Appendix A) (click the link here to access the Form).

The completed Form shall be deposited at the Registered Office of the Company (for the attention of 'Chairman', 'Company Secretary' & 'Chief of Internal Auditors') or send via email to whistleblower@sabahintpetroleum.com.

The report received will be dealt with according to the Procedures under this Policy.

 

Anti-Bribery and Corruption Manual ("ABC Manual")

Taking cognisance of Malaysian government's effort in combating 'Corruption' in the country, SIP Group had committed to uphold the enforcement of Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption principles and standards.

The Group has implemented the ABC Manual (click the link here to access) elaborates on the company's position and principles regarding all forms of bribery and corruption that may arise in the course of business and providing guidance to employees of SIP Group concerning how to deal with improper solicitation, bribery and other corrupt activities and issues.

The ABC Manual intended to apply to all employees, every director (executive and non-executive) and persons associated except as otherwise stated in this ABC Manual. Joint venture companies in which SIP is a non-controlling co-venturer and associated companies are encouraged to adopt similar principles and standards.

SIP also expects that contractors, subcontractors, consultants, agents, representatives and others performing work or services for or on behalf of SIP will comply with the relevant parts of the ABC Manual when performing such works or services.

SIP Group encourages openness and transparency in its commitment to the highest standard of integrity, accountability and professionalism in the course of business.

Any person may make a report or disclosure to the Company about any actual or perceived bribery or corruption in good faith, belief, without malicious intent, that a breach or violation as aforesaid may have occurred, through the whistleblowing channel as set out in Whistleblowing Policy and Procedures.
